Overview

Responsible for the timely creation, revision and organization of Company processes, procedures and work flows for publication and distribution. Ensuring content and format are compliant with departmental and Company standards. Must be able to self-audit and self-manage. Demonstrate a strong ability in Quality Control. Provide technical writing services in support of knowledge transfer, new process introductions and continuous improvement of activities.

Responsibilities

  • Create, revise, validate and organize Company material (procedures, work flows, presentations, manuals, bulletins, forms, etc.) for publication, distribution and use.
  • Prepare and revise documents for new and existing processes within pre-determined timelines.
  • Coordinate with CI team and its customers throughout projects.
  • Execute necessary follow up services to ensure timely approval of required documents as required.
  • Support changes and validation of existing processes, procedures and work flows. Participates in meetings related to changes in processes and process improvements.
  • Manage and coordinate multiple project priorities and work effectively across organizations in completing projects on time. Adhere to all project timelines and immediately raise issues that may delay these timelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of company procedures, products, systems, and processes from CI projects.
  • Work with minimal supervision to accomplish tasks that require non-traditional or unique approaches.
  • Successfully complete ongoing regulatory and job training requirements.
  • Understands and responsibly performs duties with attention to quality and customer requests.
  • Must be available for overtime work as well as limited travel.
  • Performs other assignments as directed, such as maintenance of the CI GlobalNet (company) site.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an associate’s degree in English, communication, or related field. Strong preference to candidates with experience in aviation, aircraft maintenance, engineering, or other similar technical field.
  • Strong experience capturing and documenting procedures of internal customers.
  • Strong experience in the technical writing field required. ISO-9001 training and experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-audit and function with limited assistance.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, Powerpoint and Visio) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders at various levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities on a daily basis while being flexible and responsive to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data or information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Prefer at least 1 year of technical writing experience in a regulated and process oriented organization.
  • Business excellence training preferred; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience in a regulatory environment a plus.
