Overview

This position is responsible for the administration, development, and management functions of the Ground Operations scheduling, weight and balance, training, data collection and reporting applications. Provides support to weight and balance application, and training development in compliance with Boeing / Atlas Weight and Balance Manuals along with department SOPs. Provide support for scheduling, and Veoci data collection applications. Provide support to special projects as requested, and hotline coverage. Ensures the external integration of other applications.

Responsibilities

  • Supports management to ensure the administrative activities for the Ground Operations Systems and Development department are documented and maintained accurately.
  • Ensure safe and reliable execution of the Company’s Systems for Ground Operations requirements.
  • Monitor and maximize the efficiency of application utilization.
  • Provide support and coverage for the hotline as per the schedule.
  • Make appropriate entries into the weight and balance application in compliance with the weight and balance manual and from engineering data for day-to-day operation.
  • Update and maintain training Module for the training application in compliance with the weight and balance manual for day-to-day operation.
  • Develop and create ad-hoc training for special projects.
  • Support updates to the scheduling application in compliance with company scheduling requirements for day-to-day operation.
  • Provide support to Global Command Center, ground coordinators, Loadmasters, Special Loads, Standards and Procedures, Training, and Scheduling teams as requested by the manager/supervisor.
  • Interface and ensure a close working relationship with other Company departments (i.e. IT, Flight Operations, QA/QC, Safety, etc.) for SABLE and other system related items.
  • Collaborate with vendor management to ensure application requirements comply with Information Technology requirements.
  • Provides support to Ground Operations Supervisor/Manager on escalated complex issues.
  • Attend customer and vendor meetings as requested.
  • Provide monthly audits of various aircraft types within external and internal systems. Maintain monthly audits for the archive process.
  • Test and evaluate new hardware and software applications.
  • Provide support for special projects as required.
  • Provide Alerts for planned or unplanned application outages to Atlas and vendor personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School degree required; college degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant aviation experience in operations, scheduling, IT, Loadmaster or logistics sectors
  • Possess an excellent working knowledge of the Electronic Weight and Balance system.
  • Serve as the lead training resource for Ground Operations who teach the weight and balance, weather, training and scheduling systems.
  • Aircraft weight and balance certification is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a teamwork environment.
  • Strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required, to support station operations and other special projects.
  • Office 365 program application experience and Intermediate to advanced computer skills and other specialized applications related to computer diagnosis and programming.

Salary Range: $60,500-$81,500
