Overview

Serves the company by managing all aspects of our GSE and vehicle responsibilities for all stations to ensure aircraft movements, ramp activity, loading/unloading of aircraft and cargo handling meet all company and governmental requirements and safety regulations. Provide high level of superior service to customers of all business units and departments, while controlling costs related to station operations.

Responsibilities

  • Primary point of contact within the company regarding all issues relating to the proper operation, repair, modification, procurement, disposal, and maintenance of all company-owned or operated vehicles and equipment.
  • Create and maintain records and reporting systems needed to manage all company vehicle and equipment maintenance programs consistent with best industry practices, maximum uptime and reliability, and contractual obligations.
  • Work within the Ground Operations program, Veoci, to create and maintain the company vehicle and equipment programs.
  • Responsible for station compliance with all safety regulations and requirements pertaining to the operation and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Guide all station maintenance and management staff in the systematic evaluation and repair of equipment and vehicle failures.
  • Maintain an appropriate level of consumable and rotatable spare GSE parts capable of providing maximum reliability in an efficient and effective manner. Maintain inventory controls and reporting systems required by customers and internal compliance.
  • Monitor and direct all preventive, corrective, and preservation maintenance programs.
  • Oversee the procurement, disposal, or distribution of all company assets related to vehicles and equipment.
  • Interface with training and safety departments to ensure appropriate training programs and processes are in place to ensure all company and governmental requirements and safety regulations are complied with.
  • Interface with equipment manufacturers regarding modifications, repairs, and maintenance of all equipment.
  • Report key program data to company management.
  • Responsible for achieving all ground operations and corporate goals as related to performance, safety, service, and regulatory compliance.
  • Interacts with all customers and vendors to ensure proper training in company requirements and procedures. Ensures customers and vendors know whom to contact if they have problems.
  • Monitors all station contracts to ensure all vendors are complying with all contract provisions and service level agreements related to the operation and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Participate in periodic meetings with customers and vendors to review potential problem areas and strategies to remedy them.
  • Develop and maintain an operating budget for all company vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain qualifications related to job duties and responsibilities.
  • Work with Atlas ground operations charter department to support all equipment-related requirements.
  • Oversee the applicable updates for the company registered drivers lists and company-insured vehicle lists. Continuously track, update, and maintain both lists throughout the year.
  • Responsible for the annual submission of an updated vehicles and equipment values list.
  • Support and assist Ground Operations with special projects, including other inter-departmental assignments.
  • Liaise with different departments in the company, such as SRC, Trainings and Standards, Commercial departments, and others as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Have prior management experience and at least four (4) years of airline operational experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Ground Service Equipment utilized in the operation.
  • Familiar with all aspects of Ground and Cargo Operations including Loadmaster, handling hazardous materials, de-icing, fueling, catering, security, etc.
  • Experience with using, building, and maintain oversight within the Veoci program.  
  • Ability to organize and perform multiple assignments in a high-stress environment.
  • Ability to interact, communicate, and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and customers at all levels of management.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage the activities of a diverse workforce.
  • Skilled problem solver with leadership qualities.
  • Excellent communication, decision, and management skills.

Salary Range: $93,500-$126,500
