Overview

This position is responsible for assisting overseeing the regular review and analysis of aircraft technical data in support of the Companies Continuing Analysis and Surveillance Program, ETOPS and Reliability program. The Supervisor will supervise the compilation of reports for various fleet types, identifying anomalies and proactively contribute to the development of solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide valuable input to the monthly Reliability report and spearhead development of new slides.
  • Identify root causes of component and ATA alerted items.
  • Monitor the timely and accurate dissemination of reports and analysis via various platforms (GlobalNet, Atlas Air Tableau Portal, e-mail, etc.)
  • Facilitate the accomplishment of all on-going collaborative efforts with other departments
  • Coordinate all internal/external department training schedules with guidance from Director of Reliability
  • Supervise the production of new reports for department use on the SSRS reporting server.
  • Oversee the duties daily of Reliability Analysts including but not limited to:
    • Review and analyze aircraft technical delay data and MEL’s to identify recurrent maintenance issues.
    • Organizing data collection and analysis for various fleet technical issues for use in the Reliability and CASS programs.
    • Reviewing, monitoring, and evaluating systems, structures, and component performance.
    • Performing analysis of aircraft maintenance program to achieve the highest level of safety and economics.
    • Monitor Reliability Data for the 767 and 777 fleets for adverse trends that could affect the ETOPS fleet and participate in the event investigations process as required.
    • Review, monitor, and evaluate ETOPS related alerts.
    • Preparing monthly ETOPS operating summaries and associated reports.
  • Assisting the Engineering department with Tableau dashboards and data analytics to support predictive maintenance.
  • Maintaining relevant reports and visualizations in the Reliability/CASS section of Atlas’ Tableau online portal.
  • Utilizing Boeing Airplane Health Monitoring (AHM) and Fleet Reliability Statistics Tool to analyze long term Reliability trends.
  • Reviewing and evaluate maintenance discrepancies generated from pilot write-ups, maintenance write-ups, and non-routine cards. Initiate actions on findings that show an adverse trend.
  • Collaborate with the Trax Administrator to ensure relevant reports needed for Reliability analysis are available or developed and maintained on the company’s server.
  • Work closely with business users, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather reporting and dashboard requirements.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau that provide insights into business operations, trends, and KPIs.
  • Conduct data exploration to understand trends, correlations, and patterns within the dataset before building visualizations.
  • Manage extracts, schedules, employee access levels and data refreshes for various reports and dashboards in the company’s online Tableau portal.
  • Work closely with IT and Trax Admin teams for network configurations, and data warehouse support to facilitate Tableau live connections, scheduled and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Leverage Tableau’s API to integrate Tableau with third-party applications like TRAX or Veoci.
  • Automate report generation and distribution where applicable using Tableau Server or Tableau Online features.
  • Keep up to date with the latest trends and innovations in data visualization to ensure the organization uses the best tools and methods available.
  • Use Python programming language to create automated workflows in Excel to assist in post heavy check reliability reporting.
  • Performs other duties as directed by the Director of Reliability.

Qualifications

  • Extensive Reliability Program, Maintenance Programs, Engineering, or CASS experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation or Business and at least five (5) years of experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in supervising people.
  • Proficiency in data and statistical analysis a must.
  • Must have and be able to demonstrate solid writing and communication skills (verbal/oral), and organization skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Proficient PC skills including Access, PowerPoint, Excel, TRAX, Tableau, and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to supervise a team.
  • Technical knowledge of relevant aircraft and engine types: 747, 767 and 777 aircraft.

Salary Range: $69,500 - $99,000

 

Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset.
